Provincial Law No 11 of 23 May 2007, and the subsequent Presidential Decree No 23-25 Leg. of 26 October 2009, establish that in the territory of the Province of Trento, the collection of wild mushrooms, both edible and not, is permitted in quantities not exceeding two kilograms per day per person over ten years of age.
Children under ten years of age may carry out picking if accompanied by family members, without prejudice to the maximum limit allowed. Pickers are obliged to summarily clean the mushrooms at the picking spot and to transport them only by means of perforated, rigid containers.
It is forbidden to damage or destroy mushrooms on the ground, and to use rakes, hooks and other means that can damage the humiferous layer of soil when picking them.
Mushroom picking is prohibited from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Non-residents of a municipality in the province are obliged to acquire a mushroom picking permit with a declaration of commencement of mushroom picking and payment of a sum commensurate with the duration of the picking. Residents and those born in the municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Trento are exempt from paying the permit; citizens registered with the Aire of a municipality in the province; owners or holders of woods falling within a provincial territory; and persons enjoying a right of civic use.

made out to the TREASURY SERVICE OF THE MUNICIPALITY concerned, indicating in the reason for payment the wording "FUNGHI COLLECTION FEE",
the GENERAL DATA OF THE PERSON CONCERNED and the HARVESTING PERIOD.
In this case, the payment receipt replaces the declaration of the start of the collection activity.
To be able to collect mushrooms on the entire Piné Plateau, it will be sufficient to make the payment to one of the two municipalities (Baselga di Piné or Bedollo), as the rates indicated above give the right to collect in both Piné municipalities.
