Albiano

Albiano rises on a morainic terrace cut through by the River Ischion on the left side of the Cembra Valley.
The recent industrial development has led to deep and radical social-economic change, giving the town the appearance of a modern, lively productive centre. The main source of income for Albiano derives from the porphyry industry.
The porphyry mined and worked in the many quarries is sent to countries and cities in the whole world, where skilled porphyry craftsmen from the Cembra Valley create prestigious works for urban decoration.
This industry and its induced activities have become one of the pillars of the economy of Trentino.
