The route begins at Canezza, just a few kilometres from the outskirts of Pergine. Here there is a turning onto the provincial road no. 8 which climbs the right orographic slope of the Valle dei Mocheni. Right from the very beginning the going is pretty tough, with regular but steep hills, and long stretches where there is little or no respite. The last stretch up to Passo Redebus (the left turning just before the town of Sant’Orsola), is especially gruelling.

This tour is very popular among cyclists from Trentino who want to admire the spellbinding landscape as they travel through the vineyards of the Val di Cembra while also riding the same roads as greats such as the Moser family and Gilberto Simoni. It starts in Trento and takes in the Piana Rotaliana (a plain), the Altopiano di Pinè (a plateau) and the upper Valsugana, so it is ideal for exploring the central and eastern areas of Trentino.
