Baselga di Piné, 26.05.2021
The Giro d'Italia returns to tread the roads of the Piné Plateau.
The famous men's professional cycling stage race that takes place annually along the Italian roads, is divided into 21 stages of which the 17th will cover the stretch from Canazei to Sega di Ala crossing our territory.
Techincal Info: 193 km; the last mountain stage in the North-East before the second (and last) rest day. The stage has an extremely challenging finale. The lengthy descent from Canazei to Mori is followed by two long and tough climbs up to Passo San Valentino and Sega di Ala over the last 50 km. The gruelling finale is well suited to a surge from a middle distance, for anybody needing to close a gap in the GC after the stage homing in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Warning! The roads involved in the Giro d'Italia route will be closed at least two hours before the race passes.
