The municipality of Lona-Lases is positioned on the left bank of the Cembra Valley, and takes its name from the two main centres. Lases rises at the edge of an alluvial plain on the banks of thelake of the same name. In spite of strong urban expansion in the last 50 years, the small historical centre, between Lases Lake and the "Dos dal Pin", still has the ancient "cormèl" structure with the houses crowded one next to the other. Lona stretches across a moraine terrace beside the hill of the same name, and its historic centre is also organised in the same way, with the typical houses all crowded together, “cormèl” style. The municipal area also includes the small hamlet of Piazzole.
