The Sover territory extends over almost 15 sq. km., mostly wooded, on the left bank of the Cembra Valley, opposite Grauno. It has three centres; the largest is Sover, the administrative capital of the municipality, followed by Montesover and Piscine, the last on the left bank of the Cembra Valley. Sover is the starting point of many paths through the woods and over the surrounding mountains. Mount Vernera is a special favourite of the local people; it is crossed by many paths leading to the ancient high mountain farmsteads (Malga Bassa and Malga Alta), and then continues on towards the other peaks of the Lagorai mountains.
