Lisignago

Between terraces cultivated with vines and cellars, food and wine meets the story

Lisignago, on the right slopes of the Lower Cembra Valley, extends on a morainic terrace at 582 m above sea level, protected by Mount Vason to the north.
Enclosed between two gorges cut through the mountains by the Ischiele River to the south and the Scorzai River to the north, it is located on quaternary moraine deposits and porphyry rocks.
The terraced fields that descend are still, as in the past, dedicated to vines. Endless hardwood forests stretch across the mountainside above the town.
